IPL works by penetrating the epidermis with a wavelength of light that attacks the follicle at the growth stage. This heat energy destroys the cells which cause the hair to grow.  As hair grows in cycles, not all follicles are damaged each time. It is therefore recommended that clients undergo a course of treatments over time to treat the entire area.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR 7 SESSIONS SPECIALS

Payment is to be made either in full on the first day of treatment or 50% deposit and the balance to be paid in equal installments over the following six treatments eg, the bikini pant line package is $385. If you wish to pay this package off, $199.00 is paid on the first day of treatment and $31.00 is paid for the six remaining treatments.

All packages must be paid no later than 8 months from the initial treatment.

No refunds are accepted, however, you can exchange your treatments for another part of the body to equal or lesser value.

How does IPL technology work?
During photo epilation, the pigment (melanin) within hair absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The hair transmits this heat into the hair follicle, which it destroys, without damaging the epidermis. Thus, the follicle cannot produce a new hair. A clinical breakthrough in hair removal, the uniquely shaped pulses of light deliver heat only in the therapeutic range, precisely heating their target with little or no damage or discomfort. The result: safe, quick and effective hair removal that lasts.

The IPL advantage
IPL is designed to selectively treat only hair follicles, leaving surrounding issue untouched. Using pulses of light, it effectively removes hairs without causing irritation and minimises the chances of scarring and pigmentation changes. Unlike traditional methods of hair removal, IPL offers win win treatment enduring results over large body areas. Where electrolysis provides long-term elimination of unwanted hair, it is uncomfortable and can demand years of treatment. And IPL unlike the electrolysis needle, treat numerous hair follicles at once. Shaving lasts only a few days and can irritate the skin. Waxing can treat large areas, but frequently leads to allergic reaction and inflammation.

How long does IPL treatment take?
Able to cover relatively large areas at high speed, IPL treats numerous hairs with each light pulse. While this method allows for unusually rapid hair removal, the exact amount of time required is determined by the size of the area being treated. The underarm usually takes five minutes, while the back of the legs may require 45 minutes.

How many treatments are necessary?
All follicles go through periods of dormancy and growth. As IPL only affects hair follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment, resting follicles must enter the growth phase before they can be effectively treated. For this reason, treatment must be repeated until all hair follicles have passed through the growth phase. Clinical studies indicate that 5 to 8 treatments are needed at intervals of between one to three months. Your clinician will advise you regarding the optimal number of treatments for you.

Men, women and children of most skin colours have been successfully treated. IPL hair removal treatments are customised according to skin colour, hair texture and body site.
